We've been watching films together since before we knew what a frame rate was. Andrew Young and Ryan Gibson — friends since high school, co-founders of Beyond Our Time Productions — came up as obsessive viewers, the kind who stayed through the credits and argued about subtext on the drive home.

Andrew brought that obsession into a career as a video director in advertising, where he learned to make every second count — how to build a world, land an emotion, and tell a story in the space between cuts. Ryan took his eye for human behavior into academia, becoming an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of New Hampshire, where his research excavates the hidden forces behind how people think, trust, and relate to one another.

At Beyond Our Time Productions, we bring those worlds together — craft and concept, image and inquiry. Our films aren't just things to watch. They're things to feel and sit with. We make work that asks the questions our disciplines have always been circling, just in a different language: the language of light, silence, and story.
